Default Indiana Jones IV Playback Issues?

I actually traded in a Phillips player for the new Sony S360 over this issue, but it seems that my scratch-free Indiana Jones IV disc keeps freezing around the 58 minute mark, and then jumps ahead two minutes and plays fine for the rest of the movie.

It doesn't do this with my PS3, and once again, the disc itself is just fine.

I have watched the movie 5 times and never had an issue. However, I am using a PS3.

I apologize to the poster, since the two replies you received were a waste of time

The poster said the disc plays fine in his PS3, so why would youbother posting that the disc played fine in your players too ????

Anyway, i would contact support for the player it's not playing in and advise them of your PS3 successful playback... maybe a firmware upgrade? This kind of behavour is holding back bluray.... incompatible discs with players isn't getting any better

Good luck to you

I won't bother telling you thatmy Indy4 plays fine on my 40gig Ps3 but it does

I did send customer support an e-mail, hopefully they will get back to me.

Really, it's only a minor inconvenience and it makes the skip at problem the most boring part anyway, but it still is annoying.

It would be interesting to hear input from somebody that has the S360. It might be because it's such a new player, but honestly, this is really turning me off. I'm having issues with my PS3 (hopefully, it's my harddrive, which should be an easy fix of buying a new one), and if it weren't for that, I wouldn't have bought a new player.

So far, 1 out of 3 discs had an issue. I'll let you guys know if the S360 has any more issues with other titles.

I had the same problem on my Panasonic BD50. Its the scene where Indy is tied up in the tent right?

I think there is a bad batch of discs out there because I had my copy changed and the replacement was fine.

Yeah, thats the place. But like I said, it's kind of weird how it works perfectly in my PS3 and not in my stand alone player.

Yeah, that is odd. I know when Indy IV first came out, there were some similar reports of bad discs freezing at that same exact spot - but people were reporting them freezing in PS3s as well as other players. Tough to say exactly what is going on here.

Got an e-mail back from Sony's customer support. It was pretty much useless and a bit demeaning. I already know the check the disc for dust and scratches and the site for firmware updates.

I was finally able to find some comments about people having the same trouble when the disc came out, so I found that a bit comforting.
