Matrix 10th Anniversary not playing correctly... - Blu-ray Forum

I just received the Matrix 10th Year Anniversary blu-ray from Amazon.com, and when I put it in my machine it all loads up like normal, but as the film begins to auto play, the PIP (picture in picture) comes up and the voiceover commentary begins.

I have been through the sub-menus and tried to turn it off, even hit "info" on the remote and tried to select Title 001, but it won't let me.
I go back to the main menu and try selecting Play Movie, or I try and set the "In Movie Experience" to OFF (even though it's already set to OFF), but no luck in any department.

I have a Samsung BD-P1500

I was really looking forward to this movie, is it the player? The disc?

Anyone who has some insight, I'd appreciate any help!

Try updating your receiver.

sounds like you got a bum disc mate... mine had no such issues. Could be the player though, I'm usin the PS3

Hmmm, figured it out (sort of).

It seems the default setting is for the disc to play with the feature length commentary and picture in picture interviews, and I have to go into the sub-menu and turn it "on" (even though it already is) and then turn it off, and it then runs the film on its own.

It's a bit of a pain and also difficult for me to tell whether it's the disc or my player, but I can at least watch the film, perhaps there'll be a firmware update in the near future for the player that might solve this, there was a similar little problem with Casino that a firmware update solved.
