Can't play Assassins Creed 2? - Blu-ray Forum

I just bought Assassins Creed 2 and tried it on my PS3.. Well I make to Firenze and then the game keeps locking up because a "wheel" pops up on the middle of the screen.. Looks like I can choose between weapons - but I can't.. I can't do anything at all!! The "wheel" is just right in the middle of the screen..

What is this and why can't I make it go away?? I have tried 2 different copies now!

This is the first I've herd of this. That sucks. I don't know what to tell you.

You've tried two copies and they both didn't work?

Maybe try to delete the Game Data of Assassin's Creed 2 then re-install.

Yep, sometimes data gets corrupted. Nothing you can do but delete and let it re-install.

Got it going again

Deleted all game data and started over.. I'm a happy camper

Couldn't find an actual Assassins Creed II thread, so I'll make do here.

Okay I finally beat all the 9 lieutenants (I swear ubisoft should have given me a trophy for that damn boat captain alone!!!!!) and now I'm back at the castle, but I can't access the memory point due to the memory being "corrupt". That's where I go to arrange the codex pages or whatever.

What am I missing here folks? I understand that 12 and 13 corrupt DNA is the DLC (which I have) but how do I access that memory point, and if I can't where do I go now?

Yep, that's wierd. The weapons wheel should close as soon as you let go of R2.

Wouldn't be the first time an Ubisoft game had bugs in!

I also had a problem with this game near the beginning when you have to race your brother to the rooftop. It said I had to race him, but he wasn't moving. And the race doesn't start until he starts. After switching it off and loading it up again, it worked straight away with no problems.
