Question 'The Ultimate Matrix Collection' Re-Release?

Now here's a weird thing:

I noticed on Amazon UK that there supposedly is a 2009-version of the box.
Which has the note "Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available." on it.
See it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Matrix-Ultim...3340440&sr=1-2

It also has a page on Amazon US, however it carries this note:
"This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer."
Even though two people have it for sale, they probably have the 2008-version.
See that one here: http://www.amazon.com/Matrix-Ultimat...3340451&sr=1-2

So could this be a re-release, perhaps with the tiny video-glitch fixed?
Or is it just nothing? A product-page-duplicate of sorts?
Even though they both show the year 2009 and UK says it would "become available".
Also a different item-picture, which I really hope isn't going to be released that way.

Seems a little early for a re-release already, but who knows...

Well, if that is a genuine UK release, it says on the box 'includes Animatrix' which was never included in the original UK boxset release

And i actually prefer that box

With a bit of luck, hopefully this indicates that Warner have got around to fixing the 'glitch'

That's because the only 'The Matrix'-box released in the UK is pretty much a plain "trilogy-box".
Which was also available the same in the US, next to the 'Ultimate Matrix Collection'.
Which pretty much included 'The Animatrix' to get all things "Matrix" together.

I sure hope this is finally a full and correct release.
Also finally for the UK, since strangely enough the "Ultimate" one is still not available around Region B.
Sure, we can import it, but it will cost us.
Besides, the official price here would probably be lower as usual.
Which would be great for me too, since I buy from the UK.

I noticed on co.uk the other day they have the Animatrix by itself. I'm getting that on the 1st.

In the States they still haven't sold it like that.

That's really weird, in at least 4 countries (probably more) they did release it separately.
On the other hand, maybe they decided not to since it's included in the "Ultimate" box.
The other ones, except the first part, have yet to come out separately too, so...
They probably expected people to just want to buy the whole set.
But there were even people that refused to buy anything but the first film.
Kind of stubborn, but OK...

I live in Australia which is region B.
I have Ultimate collection ( 4 BD and 2 DVD ) and it was $95 Aus dollars ( around 42 Pound ).
Check Ebay or other online shop.

A tad off topic but is the UK Matrix (the single release) in a normal case or a digibook case and is it region free? Yes I hate digibooks.

The Ultimate Matrix collection on the UK Amazon just says "Sign up to be notified" - Amazon has tons of listings like that, and they by no means mean the title is actually coming. Unless there's an active pre-order, Amazon listings mean very little.

Same for the Complete Matrix in the US - it just says "This title was discontinued by the manufacturer." That title was in fact never released in the US. I'm not saying the US won't eventually get a 'Complete' pack, or the UK won't eventually get an 'Ultimate' pack, but so far there is no evidence of that.

Hm, I just double-checked and didn't expect this:
There is that 10th Anniversary Digibook right, but it's only available in the US.
The UK got one with a plain (UK) BD-box, just like the DVD came out with the cardboard "snapper".
But that UK-version has been out for about 5 days.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, they have a lot of like "dead" listings.

Uhu, but I just thought, maybe they were planning to release a new one,
but the plan was probably canceled.
Then with Amazon UK not being up-to-date yet I guess.

However, just thinking, maybe it's the meaning the UK dóes get it.
Cause, you know, the "Ultimate" one was only released in the US.
Perhaps it will come late this year or something like that.

It's also typical they got their own images.
Also a little strange it has this big sticker on it like "French included" or something.

The picture with the "French included" sticker looks like the Canadian release of the Ultimate Matrix Collection.

That's because it is.

Amazon just stuck the Canadian picture.

Ah, good point.

You mean like "for now"? Because there is so little information on this release, if it is anything in the end.
Otherwise it would be strange it would actually be a Canadian release appearing on Amazon UK.

It's just a picture to make people linger I guess.

You trust listings more when there's at least a picture, right?

I guess...

But there's not much different to trust there.
It would either be something sold by Amazon or an alternative seller.
Which is also described.
