Default Sony's Portable Copy Program

Guys, I've searched and couldn't find something specific about it, so here it goes.

I was reading on TechTree (link) about how Sony plans to use the digital games as an exchange program for most of the current UMD games, when John Koller, director of hardware marketing, says "Koller explained that the user experience would be similar to Portable Copy, the way Blu Ray movies are ripped from PS3 and converted to the PSP-friendly versions."

Now, I know back in 08 there was much discussion about a software update (2.20) that was supposed to allow you to rip the blu-ray movies into your PSP but that never happened. That update was called Portable Copy. Has this been enabled and what movies can be transferred now to your PSP? Or will this be something that will start working this fall when the new PSP Go is launched?
