Default Rescue Me FX HD

I love Rescue Me, but I want to see if anybody else has noticed this about the show on FX in HD. Some scenes are nearly perfect HD quality and other scenes have really heavy grain. I am curious as to why this might be.
Any ideas?

Some of the low-lighting scenes show grain.

FX is in HD on my DirectTV. That's one of the reasons I don't have Dish. In fact, Rescue Me is one of the better looking HD programs I have seen, but only about 1/2 of each show looks really great.

Yes it is a great show, as is LOST. Sons of Anarchy is another FX show that looks great in HD.
