Spider-Man is an American animated television series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man. Grantray-Lawrence Animation produced the first season. Seasons 2 and 3 were crafted by producer Ralph Bakshi in New York City.

The show first aired on the ABC television network on September 9, 1967; but went into syndication at the start of the third season. It ran for three seasons and finished on June 14, 1970, with a total of 52 episodes. Many of the 30-minute episodes were divided into two 15-minute shorts.

They haven't even been bothered to release the 90s show on DVD, so...

Post You bet your blue and red tights I would!!

I remember loving this show and watching religiously as a 5- or 6- year old (1975/76), when this was syndicated on (the then brand new) WFXT Fox channel 25 here in the northeast. Over the next several years (until I was about 12 or so), I believe I caught every episode at least once or twice, if not several times. Many years later, (around 2005) I saw the DVD box set, did some review research, and dropped the cash, to relive old memories, and to share this classic set in all its glory with my own 3 kids. All well and good, until I was forced to liquidate a whole slew of my DVDs at a flea market a few years later, to drum up some needed cash. I think I may have let this one go, thinking, "it will be redone on Blu Ray soon anyway". Boy was THAT a mistake. Not only has this not been released on blu yet, but the cost of this original DVD set has gone through the roof! It's currently (at the time of this comment) at $254 dollars on Amazon.

Whoever is in charge of making the decision to put the time, money and effort into mastering and releasing this in HD, please, please, PLEASE get to it! GO FOR IT-- there are many, many others like myself who would grab this set in a heartbeat (especially if it is reasonably and competitively priced for the market).

Please don't wait on this-- we're not getting any younger, and we'd love to be able to share it with our children, and even our children's children.

I would also LOVE to see this released in HD on Blu-Ray. It is the very first show I was ever a fan of and it holds a special place in my childhood nostalgia!

Yes, although I would just settle with a reissue of the DVD set at this point.

Most Definitely!!!! One of my great regrets is missing out on the DVD release all those years ago. A blu-ray release would make me very happy and I won't hesitate like I did with the DVD release!

Yes I definitely would! I think it would be a better upgrade from the previous DVD set, which is now out of print. I think Sony owns the rights.
