...put a sticky about not going the LCD vs Plasma route. Sheesh! Why people can't run a search baffles me! I vote for banning the next person who brings it up! These people are either too lazy to find and read relevant materials or just want to get a kick out of having people argue about LCDs and Plasmas.

Personally I think you're way off base with this suggestion or request.

While it's true that many members do not use the search function enough, which oftentimes leads to a multitude of similar threads, there are also many members have have legitimate questions about the differences between the various display technologies. Sometimes reading about technologies, seperate and apart from a dedicated thread to discuss them, leads to no real answers.

There are many different models within each display type and it can be a very daunting task to try and decipher what they all mean and the possible benefit they might have. A discussion to ask questions about this from members with real-world experience is a plausible and, for me, perfectly acceptable method of gaining more knowledge.

Can we please post a sticky about people who do not know how to ignore threads that are not relevant to them. These people should just NOT click on any thread they already know EVERYTHING about or are just not interested in. You would think by now people would know how to just IGNORE certain threads, Sheeesh!!

Its not about knowing everything..its about causing a ruckus when there will always be two schools of thought. Its not about ignoring threads because people will always state their views and go an extra mile and say how their choice is/was better and then the sh!t hits the fan. But hey if fights/arguments are what people want who am I to stop the aggression, the hurt and the pain

I was joking when I spoke about the banning...its something too trivial to be banned for but there are discussions and then there are mine's better than yours...the latter seems to have become the majority [these posts mutate into] when these threads appear. I am all for getting info and experience from people.

It IS exactly what you are doing right now. Honestly, why cant you skip threads that do not interest YOU? I skip all of the threads about Onkyo because I am tired of them.

No, we don't, and I can't believe you would think that. I mean, seriously, do you even know what you are talking about? Some folks just need to read more and post less. I'd post a couple articles and reviews supporting my position, but you'd just ignore them and say they are written by biased individuals with an ax to grind against people who hate that we have to argue.
