Default HDMI Switchers??

In an effort to have 1080p picture and HDMI audio, I am looking for something that can take the 1080i image from my Yamaha VX-2600 receiver and change it to 1080p which will in turn run to my TV.

Any ideas/thoughts on the best/cheapest way to do this??

Thanks

Honestly...it would be cheaper to buy a new receiver. HDMI switchers alone with no upconversion are pretty expensive, some $200+ for a 3 out 1 in. Add upconversion then you are better off buying a better receiver. Plus you are never going to get true 1080p since the signal going in is downconverted to 1080i at the receiver level, and then again upconverted to 1080p at the switch.

Wow...I just paid $1400 for that receiver 6 months ago...My wife will kill me.

I wonder if Sony will release 7.1 analog outputs that go to your receiver that connect to the "A/V Multi-Out" on the back of the PS3...?

Thoughts??
