Default Star Trek ranking #7: choose the weakest remaining ST film

the whales are out. the rest of the films remaining, outside of STII, have all been dead even in recent polls. this one should be a bit more exciting...

The story so far...

First Contact, it's getting to hard.

VI is my favorite.

It's been a while since I've seen 6.

Hard to say - the Shakespeare spouting Klingnon was a bit silly - however, there are some great parts in 6. Although I always felt the ending was a bit lackluster somehow.

Fisrt Contact was a bit of a disappointment. I was expecting a massive Borg against humans space battle, and instead got a 60 second space battle before going to the past! However, Patrick Stewarts acting in this a fantastic.

Hard choice, wish I had time to watch them both again. . .

I'm going to have to take down FC. The human flesh on Data was a bit silly (although I understand what they were going for), and the story on earth was a bit boring, and while I enjoyed the ship battle against the Borg, it wasn't quite the epic feel I was hoping for with this movie. This was our one shot at a movie featuring the Borg and they kept the story at the TV level.

Star Trek 6 feels like more of a "movie" trek to me - if that makes any sense to anyone.

So long First Contact. . .

While First Contact is the best of Picard, it still doesnt beat 2 or 6. Or even the new one.

Plus killing Borg with Holographic bullets??

He clearly disengaged the safety protocols.

Star Trek 2009 is getting my vote on this round. The other 3 movies are more true Star Trek for this old fan

I just re-watched 'em all on BD. I'm probably gettin' old, but for the first time, I finally couldn't get pass the Shakespeare "…in the original Klingon…" nonsense. That's what I've been trying to vote off for the last couple of polls.

VI gets my vote.

Shakespeare in his native Klingon indeed...

I'd definitely like to check out of a few on BD - there were some fantastic parts of 6 - although I'm sure some effects don't hold up very well. But this was a fun detective story.

I'm really surprised people are voting 6 over First Contact. Didn't expect folks to hold First Contact is such high regard.
