USA Lionsgate Movies Receiving New Covers?

I've only seen two so far, but I think Lionsgate is doing away with the silver outline on their packaging (where it says "1080P / BEYOND HIGH DEFINITION"). Yesterday, I was at Best Buy and I stumbled upon Reservoir Dogs and Crash.

i.e.
Going from this:

I've seen the same thing with The Punisher. I think its a good thing - we're past the point where we need silver banners to tell us its a blu-ray.

But it was only Lionsgate that used the silver spines.

THey had the worst stickers on these too. Dogs was my first blu-ray and still sticks to the movie next to it. HATE, HATE, HATE THAT.

Right, and Punisher was Lionsgate.

I have quite a few of these...I wish they would've released them like this to begin with. I didn't care for the silver...

Fortunately, I have a few that are still sealed...maybe I can exchange them somewhere.

Or...I guess I could always just print custom artwork...

Just looks like they've added a slip cover to it.

I kind of wish that they at least retained the silver for season 4 of Weeds.

I haven't bought an LG movie in a while, but aren't they the ones with the issue of the adhesive they use for the security stickers messing up the plastic cases?

Lionsgate needs to worry less about the artwork and more about re-doing these early releases.

+1. Exactly... when I first started watching BD movies, Saw 1 & 2 were my first Lionsgate movies and I thought there was something wrong with my TV since the pic was not as clear compared to Shawshank or TDK. I realize the reason they sold these movies for $10 because the PQ is not that great.

The Descent is my favorite Lionsgate movie as far as PQ goes.

Also the silver part of the artwork looks cheap.
