Default Why?

Why are the releasing escape from Los Angeles in the U.S. when they have only released Escape from New york basically everywhere else. And Why can't they release every movie everywhere at the same time. Would that be too difficult. Is that asking for too much. Anyone else upset about the strange release patterns.

Just because X was released in ___ doesn't mean that Y would be to.

It's not always some guy in a suit sitting in a dark room pressing the "no this movie won't be released here" button.

The films are owned by different studios. It's up to MGM to release NY in the U.S. You can always import NY from the UK. It will play in your player.

Again, in many cases, the films are owned by different studios. Look at how Alliance is cranking out releases in Canada, yet the U.S. studios that own these films haven't released them yet.
