The Right Stuff (1983)

I hope Warner announces The Right Stuff for Blu-ray sometime next year. I saw the movie last night on AMC, and seeing it again rekindled my love for it. Another thing that makes The Right Stuff a one-of-a-kind movie are the unforgettable performances of the all-star cast, including Sam Shepard (as Chuck Yeager), Scott Glenn (as Alan Shepard), Ed Harris (as John Glenn), Dennis Quaid (as Gordon Cooper), Fred Ward (as Gus Grissom), Barbara Hershey, Pamela Reed, Veronica Cartwright, and an early appearance by Lance Henriksen as one of the astronauts. Like I said, Warner needs to be seriously recommending The Right Stuff for Blu-ray, especially with them releasing all their catalog releases on Blu-ray. Plus, it will be a crime if they don't supply the film with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio! And it doesn't matter if they package the film inside a regular Blu-ray case or a digibook, The Right Stuff will still be a day one purchase when released!!
