WHen is this coming out? does anyone know? I went into a GameStop store the other day, and asked the employee if he happened to know when its release was...but he made up (i think) some excuse about how microsoft and sony are in a lil quarrel and they dont think it will be coming out at all?????

im confused :\

gamestop are a bunch of tools. They try to act all superior with their game knowledge when they really dont know wtf they're talking about.

Try looking up gamespot.com or 1up.com. The employees at at EB and Gamestop seem to be clueless when it comes to certain things. I'm guessing end of this year/early next year. Either way this game is going to be HUGE on the PS3. Can't wait for the Sony online store to get a demo of it. Or since I'm a memeber of the Sony Gamer Advisory Panel, I can score a beta test or demo. That would be sweet.

Sony needs it this year to really put the ps3 ahead in the console war and i bet they'll pay for it to stay exclusive to the ps3. it makes perfect business sense

they really do need it to be released this year, it would be a big turning point for ps3. but this is already known :P ..heard the release date was march 2008? sooooo farrrrrr awayyyy

im sure it will be this holiday season, also sis this has been talked about alot look around before you post a new thread.

They dont need MGS4 to be released this year.

There are allready some awesome titles coming this year to PS3.
Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's fortune, Jack & Dexter, Grand theft auto 4, Killzone PS3, the Getaway PS3 (not sure on this one if it will be 2007).

The only time when MGS4 "should" be released is when MGS4 is ready to be released. MGS4 is too important to me, to rush this game out into the market.

But, we will hopefully (fingers crossed

) get a release date from Konami on July 11th.

No i agree with you i want MGS4 to be well worth the wait, but i do think releasing it will get alot of ppl to buy a ps3. I didnt think Killzone was announced at all for this yr along with jack and dextar?? After vegas comes out this week the only game i am looking forward to is GTA4 and thats it so i hope MGS4 will be released this holiday season
