Okay, i'm not sure what I may have done or if it's a technical problem. As of right now I can only play certain PS3 titles on line and it's driving me crazy!!!!!

You should set the DMZ setting to the IP address of the PS3. This will open ALL ports to the PS3 and you can bypass any problems with closed ports. If you do not know the IP then set it to a static ip, not dynamic.

Have you attempted to call Sony at 800-345-7669 (800-345-SONY) yet? They can sometimes be surprisingly helpful with it comes to specific errors.

Wouldn't setting the system create more headache and problems than solutions. I think the problem with the OP is the internet itself. I mean that might be the issue, or you could call sony's customer support to see if its a problem with the system itself.

This is caused by your IP packets being fragmented, this is perfectly normal but is not always supported by certain servers. Hence why you can play some game and others throw a wobbly. This is caused by two systems that use different MTU sizes.
Check that the MTU packet size is set to automatic on the PS3 and check with your ISP what it should be set to on your router. (You could always Google it I suspect that someone will have the information) You should then stop getting the fragmentation. |
