Default 520 CD/DVD wallets...Are they worth it?

I was looking for CD/DVD wallets to store my DVDs and Blu-Rays when I found this site:

http://www.supermediastore.com/cd-wa...-capacity.html

They look like a godsend, being able to fit the collection of even the biggest of movie collectors (yours truly). However, I've read reviews that said these things sometimes have their discs fall out or the page may come loose.

30 out of 35 reviews say these super wallets are worth it. My question is how would you rate a 520 disc wallet. If you have one and you can recommend getting it, or recommend staying away from, I would be appreciative of your help.

I voted go for it, but I used to store CD's in a wallet like that before, but one day I spent a few hours and put all my CD's back in their original cases. I was also thinking about putting my BD's in a wallet too so I can preserve the BD cases/art cover, but I haven't made the move yet since I like to browse thru my mini collection when I want to select a movie.

The bad thing about it is... if you lose the wallet you lose all your disc That's the only negative thing I can think about storing disc in a wallet.

The good thing about it is if you have family members that go thru your movies it's great to have them in a wallet so they don't break the BD cases or tear the art cover. All they have to do is flip thru the pages.

Default I say go for it.

My CD/DVD collection is so large I had them stashed all over the house. It's much easier for me to flip through a book than to have to search the house for what I want. Be sure to get a book designed for DVD's as they have large pockets to hold cover art and inserts. I've never had a problem with discs falling out (they have a pretty snug fit) or losing pages.

I think about the contractors that I currently have working in my place, ones I've had in the past, and ones in the future (need to carpet the movie room).... Not just contractors since I wouldn't allow a fly-by-night crew into my house.... (disregard the fact that one of them broke my speaker ) but people come through the house for whatever reason, and you never know.... it's just peace of mind....

Someone picking up my movies and taking off is impossible (1,200 or so) but If I were kind enough to put them all in a easy to carry wallets....... Voila! gone

It's a judgment call. I personally wouldn't do it because of how easy it would be for someone to steal all your movies but if you have a good place to keep the case or are trusting then go for it. Just a side note but I've used supermediastore in the past and had very good results.

I keep all my movies in my walk in closet and I lock it when I'm not at home.

That's why I have always been against storing my collection this way.

I voted no for the same reasons as above... plus it looks good to have a unit full of movies and they're easier to search if you have them in an order.

i used to keep my cds in a huge wallet like that back before i had my ipod hookup for the car, but the would always come out of their space and rool around on the floor of the car and get scratched, so it can be kind of annoying at times, but if you are keeping it at home, i just dont see a reason to do that personally, im not gonna need to take my whole movie collection anywhere with me that i can forsee, unless im moving, then everything is coming with me anyways, so ill bring the cases too

How are the qualities of these wallets? I used cheap ones before and the pockets would scratch my discs. I use a 320 disc Case Logic one now and so far so good. The ones you linked are nicely priced.
