Spider-Man 3, Slip Case???? - Blu-ray Forum

Hi! to all,

Need a quick "honest" response, PLEASE!

Can any of you confirm for me 100% if Spider-Man 3 (US Region A) should come with a slip case?

I got my order today from Amazon but there was no slip case, I was under the impression Spider-Man 3 should have one?

Any ideas? also if any of you own Spider-Man 3 and have the slip case is the artwork on the slip case any different to the normal cover artwork?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! for your time guys.

from what I seen at the stores, I havent seen a slip case besides the Trilogy set.

The DVD came with a slip case, I have the Trilogy Box set on Blu, and the BR disc does not have a slip case in the box set

Even if there was a slipcase back when it was released on BD, the slipcase was only on the first pressings of the BD.

My Spider-Man 3 has a slipcase and it's the exact same image as the front/back of the BD case... But like demiscy just said slipcases are sometimes only available on the first shipments to stores... Some will appear on shelves for a while, others are gone in weeks...

I can post a pic if you want to see mine...

Yeah! I think your spot on there m8, I have checked up on some reviews and I've found out that Spider-Man 3 "did" come with a slip case when it was first released, so like you say it was probably only on the "first pressing's"

The good news is that from what I've seen the cover art on the slip case was identical to what's on the basic Blu-ray cover, so I suppose with that in mind it's no big deal.

I would have been disappointed though if the slip case had unique artwork like for example "The Dark Knight" Blu-ray release, luckily though that does not appear to be the case with Spider-Man 3.

Mine has the slip cover but I got it when it first came out so it may not come with it anymore. Same artwork though so you're not missing a whole lot as far as that goes.

I believe if you bought it when the title first came out it comes with a slipcase, but its not any longer. As for me I got the box set.

Nothing to get too excited about, Josey, although its worth pointing out that the slipcover was embossed. If you look at MookDaddy's pic, you can see that Spidey is raised from the background.

Yes! I thought the slip cover looked embossed, don't get me wrong I'd much rather have the slip cover than not have it, but as the actual artwork is "identical" I don't think I'll lose to much sleep over it, so really it's only a slight disappointment in missing out on the slip cover.

slipcovers are usually limited to the first run and on reprint orders its not included. WB is dropping the digital copy after the first run sells out, I guess an incentive to buy early

Yeah, it did come with the slip case early on. I remember seeing it that way everywhere.

Lately, though, I've only been seeing it without the slip cover.
