Panasonic DMPBD35EG-K help needed U73 error

Hi guys,

I just put a dvd into my blu ray and at first it said playing, then dvd and then it said u73 and nothing plays.

Any idea what is wrong?

The disc is ok as it plays through my xbox 360.

Handshake issue. Mine does that when I turn the tv off. Is it the first disc you have tried?

Other discs have played normally in it in the past, this is the first time this has happened.

What do you mean by handshake issue and how can I resolve it?

U73 is the error code for the HDMI cable. I have had this before too, all you need to do is disconnect the HDMI cable and put it back in (on both ends). If it still continues then try a new cable.

I tried another one and it still gave me the U73 error.

I think both are cheap ones from ebay, but I don't understand why it has worked fine for quite a while and has suddenly stopped working.

Do you think this one would be ok?

Strangely, it's working again this morning.
