Default Ever made a film?

Hey everybody,

Sorry if this is not allowed but i was just wondering if anyone has ever made a film before, especially a short film?

The reason why i ask is because i run a small company called CineMe and we are looking for films to showcase at our monthly film showings. If anyone has a film they would liked showcase at our events please drop me a PM with a link to the film you have made and your film will take pride of place at our next event/festival.

We are after any film below 20 minutes and are interested in any type of film including, animation, comedy, documentary and music video.

If you would like a chance to show off what you have made then please drop me a PM.

You can also view our sites at http://www.cinemefilms.com and our facebook group : http://www.facebook.com/groups/26484548311/

Many thanks everyone

Joe

Can we not just limit this to a PM?

This would be a great place/thread for some of you guys to post your stuff for all to see.

In high school, I directed a slasher film called "Easter Sunday" about a chainsaw wielding bunny rabbit. We never got around to shooting the proposed sequel "Easter Monday".

Here is my YouTube channel. It has pretty much everything I have been in the Director's chair for except for my commercial work, can't really post that.

I've made an animated short about dinosaurs (incredibly violent by anyone's standards, LOL), and a short B&W nature documentary that comes off more like a psychedelic acid-trip film due to poor exposure settings ("Close that camera!!!! ARRGH!") as well as a huuuuge dose of hand-held jiggle.

I like to get involved in film production a lot as a sound mixer and boom op. Sometimes post production as a sound editor. It's all been independent stuff naturally. I bought all my own gear awhile back.

I've worked on many shorts and made my first feature as a writer/producer earlier this year. It's a character driven horror film called Sader Ridge. We are currently fundraising for post-production costs on Kickstarter. If you are interested in checking out the teaser trailer, it follows the pitch video on our Kickstarter page. That link can be found in my signature.

Have you been having a lot of luck with Kickstarter? I have been thinking of going down that route.

I made or helped with 10 films in college (before the age of video). I wish I still had the Super 8 reels. Loved editing and writing. Directing was not my forte.

After college, I was a set production assistant on:

Double Parked
A Two Family House
10 Hundred Kings

I was also an art assistant on 2 Condorelli Nougat Commercials

Absolute GREAT times....ZERO money

Met a lot of cool people and killed 2 cars. double

A few years later I discovered graphics in a production studio where I was cutting video for IBM and working as a call screener for a radio show.

So...Tv, Video, Film and Radio brought me to graphics.

Weird.

We've raised $2000 in a week. But I guess we won't know if it's a success until we reach our goal of $8000 (Kickstarter only gives out money raised if you reach your goal).

All my stuff is pretty amateur. I am too poor for decent gear, so it's shot on MiniDV with worklights, a 5-dollar mic, etc. My attempts to build a nice dolly and whatnot always failed, again because I am poor.

But anyway, you can see my short films and episodes of my short-lived public access TV show on my youtube: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Beckmen&view=videos

I am trying to put my vids up on CinemaMe but it seems to be taking forever, it has been in the process of uploading for about 18 hours now and its still going, granted I'm right at the 200 MB limit.

But I do suggest you guys register there, its a great place to show off your stuff and to see some cool videos.
