TV show - Unsub 1988

I have a personal favorite show from the 80s that never caught on. It aired on NBC called UNSUB - Unknown Subject. It was a cross between CSI and Criminal Minds, but way before both of them came out. David Soul played the head of a FBI task force that dealt with serial killers/criminals. It also starred Richard Kind, and M Emmet Walsh as detectives. I loved every episode. It was very scientific and solved alot of cases with forensic science. Does anyone else remember this or am I way to old for my own good?

There is a show that use to be on Fridays at 8pm right before Knight Rider...about a prince or something like that from another planet and he had to escape to earth from his planet..Louis Gossept JR was his guardian...can't remember the name of it....
