Even though the non-digibook release of Patton precedes the player, for some unexplained reason, my BRC-3109 plays the movie in the upper corner. None of my other movies from Fox that I tested so far (or any other studio, for that matter) have that issue. I've tried changing the display settings w/o any success.
Another issue with the player is that Modern Times & Seven Samurai (both Criterion) won't stop playing when I hit the stop button, nor when the movie ends will it stop (I have to turn off the power switch). I suspect that this has to do with the resume movie feature that Criterion puts on its Blus. Have any of you experienced similar issues on the BRC-3109 or any other players regarding playback issues with Criterion titles or display issues with Patton? Everything else in my collection seems to play fine. Thank you for your assistance. UPDATE: Firmware update now available, fixed issues w/ Criterion discs. I still have the playback issue w/ Patton.
