Default Star Wars: The First Jedi

Wouldn't you like Mr. Lucas to make the prequel of ALL prequels? A movie that shows how Yoda became a Jedi....who trained him? The Midichlorians? Maybe....but wouldn't you like to know who he was padawan learner to? Maybe learning about the existence of the Force and all of its grandeur drove him a little crazy (maybe that's why he talks like he does) Then they can finally show the stage of Jedi training that involves going to the sacred planet that is home to the crystals that make a light saber, and they can show a young Yoda making his own light saber. Maybe even have Yoda and his Jedi Master (if there is one) battling and defeating the first Sith Lord and his apprentice....or maybe Yoda's Master becomes the first Sith Lord....and at the very end of the movie show Yoda training the first batch of Jedi padawans (including Count Dooku)...there are so many ways Lucas could go with this...I know alot of you feel he's done a hatchet job to the Star Wars franchise, but this is a movie I'd definitely be interested in seeing.....what other ideas do you guys have for possible plot suggestions for this movie?

Yoda wasn't the first jedi....
Obi-wan was the first to kill a Sith in 1,000 years (Yoda isn't that old, thus never killed a sith)
He didn't train the first padawans...
His "master" is already known, N'Kata Del Gormo (i looked it up), he trained him after finding him.

Now, a movie about the actual first Jedi or first Sith would be cool, but will never happen.

Lucas is done with the films and will not make another, so if more live action films will be made it will be from his children or whoever get the rights to the properties when Lucas is gone.

There are books on just about everything you want to know btw, you should check them out, some of the Expanded Universe books are better than the movies

Nope. The Saga which encompasses the 6 films is all about "The Chosen One"/ Anakin, and how he brings balance to the galaxy. That was what Lucas wanted to accomplish and he did it. There's video games, books, television shows and comics to show us the pre-Ep I, post-Ep VI and to fill in all the inbetween gaps.

Regardless of what anyone has to say about Star Wars I feel the majority can agree that the original was nothing short of epic in film making. As far as the prequels go I thought they were fun and exciting and provided a much needed backstory.

What are planet have you been living in? While I completely agree 100% with your comment, but you would be EXTREMELY surprised at how many people dissagree with it. Every time any type of SW pops up here the amount of people who hate the original and despises the prequels seems to be incredibly high.

I'd love all sorts of movies about Star Wars.

I feel a prequel trilogy to the prequel trilogy could make the existing prequel trilogy better. Man, the wasted possibilities GL had with that.

it might be good if Lucas didn't have anything to do with it, at least as a director....

I don't think it was so much needed as it was wanted. We didn't need to know how Darth Vader came to be –At least not for the understanding of the first trilogy– but we all wanted to.

I do have an appreciation for the intricacy and backstabbing that led to the topple of the republic. It's sort of a contemporary tale.

As far as KOTOR, man, bring it on!

I think a movie, or movies about the SW universe that revolved around something other than Anakin/Vader would be sweet! But to agree with my fellow posters, it will never happen as long as Papa Lucas is still in the drivers seat.
The only real books I've ever read outside Ep 1-6 is the Timothy Zahn trilogy of books (ep 7, 8, and 9) and to be honest, I thought that they were Fantastic!

Anyways, just my two cents on the matter!

I would love for him to produce 3 movies about The Sith Wars, going back 5000 before the prequels.

Oh and Yoda is not the first Jedi, very far from it

It would be good if Lucas simply accepted his royalties and relinquished creative control over it. Let someone who has a better grasp of the public pulse write and direct it.

I'd love some more movies! Movies about the KOTOR events would be awesome, especially after seeing that trailer for the new mmo.
