Do you register your blu-rays? - Blu-ray Forum

Simple question: do you register your blu-rays after purchase? If so, how do you register them?

Personally, the only discs so far I have registered are the Sony ones with BD Live, since it's easy to register them through the BD Live menu, but for the rest I haven't registered any disc yet.

So, do you guys register them with the studios? Does registering them have certain advantages?

Seriously, though, does this refer to updating the disc once you put in into the system (if so, I do it every time if it's a manditory update)? Or is this simply filling out a card and mailing it back (which I never do)?

I have never accessed a BD-Live menu, so I haven't registered anything that way.

I've registered the ones that are BD-Live capable.

I think some BDs give you additional content if you register (Forgetting Sarah Marshall comes to mind).

Until full registration is mandatory, I will continue to fight the power and keep my blu-rays to myself. I don't want the govt coming into my house and taking my blu's!
