Default Adequate systems on a budget?
I'm selling my 42" LCD and buying a 50" plasma, as well as looking to purchase my first audio system. I already have a PS3 so I'm not buying a HTIB with a BD player included.

I need a receiver and a speaker set, but unfortunately, home theater systems are expensive. If I could get away with spending $500 or so, that'd be great.

Any advice?
