Hey,

If you buy a HTIB do you have to buy something extra so that it works with the TV. Mine is flatscreen LG 1080p 120h...

They usually come ready to hook up. It would help if you list the make and model number of your HTIB.

I actually have not purchased a HTIB. I was wondering what I should get. My TV is a LG-47" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV-47LH40. Hope that you can make a recommendation from there :-)

Usually it's not based on your TV. If you want to go the HTiB route, you've gotta come up with a budget. You'll have to choose whether you want DVD or Blu-ray. If you want DVD, would you want a single disc or 5-disc player? Or maybe you want a HTiB with no player included and you just want the receiver and speakers. How many speakers? 5.1, 6.1, 7.1? Do you want wireless rear speakers or can you deal with the wires?

My initial purchase was the Onkyo 3100 HTiB....I was very happy with it and it was very affordable. I still have the speakers but upgraded the receiver.

Ok,

My budget is $500. I would really like to get wireless if I can. I wanted as many speakers as I can. get. Let's go with best bang for the buck. I don't need a player as I have an xbox360.

many people are very happy with the onkyo htib google and you can check the reviews.....
