Am I the only one who thought there was a lot of grain throughout the movie? Excellent movie with a very good transfer but there was a lot of grain, I assume as part of an effort to give the movie a Western, gritty feel.

I've heard a million compliments on it, it is one of the next blu's I plan on picking up, after I scrape together enough cash for my next subwoofer.

I didn't think it was as clear as many other movies. Casino Royale is always the one I recommend although my brother-in-law came over and saw my copy of Matrix on blu and he just couldn't stop talking about how nice it looked.....I think I heard some mumbling about needing to get a blu-ray player.

I don't think "clear" is the word I would use to describe it... so no.

It is one of the best looking titles in my opinion; the TV screen looks like a window into that world. It's my demo Blu anyway.

yeah, story was adequate at best, but Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin were flat out awesome. Its worth buying for their performances alone.

I guess I don't look at any one and say "that's the best"

There Will Be Blood, Bladerunner, 2001, and Pan's Labyrinth are some of my favorites that also happen to have great technical merits.

I think Benjamin Button looks slightly better than No Country.

I also think Sweeney Todd is on par with No Country in the PQ department.

I think it's on par with "Disaster Movie" for enjoyability though.

It has outstanding PQ, but so do many others that have already been mentioned... it's very hard to name a best of the best. 'Baraka' might have the edge because it comes from a 70mm source.
