Default Rank the original Planet of the Apes movies (1968-1973)

In 2005, for a Yahoo Group (LOL) which I had created ("Apecalypse Now"), I wrote detailed timelines for the original pentalogy of the "Planet of the Apes" movies (1968-1973). I also wrote timelines for the alternate universe of the 1974's TV series and the Tim Burton universe.

In late 2018, I launched a new POTA blog featuring my work - now finally revised and polished.
I named the blog: Time Travelling on the Planet of the Apes (Pota Planet of the Apes Blogspot.com)
Search it on Google. It's a work of pure passion and a labour of love.

By the way, my ranking:

1- Planet of the Apes (1968)
2- Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970)
3- Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973)
4- Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972)
5- Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)

Such an excellent series, and surely my #1 sci-fi franchise.

The top four rankings are four of the original films, which would naturally leave the last spot for Battle if we're only looking at the first five.

That was a collaborative ranking though, not a personal one.

One of the few classic movies where all of its sequels interest me. Beneath will always be one underrated piece of movie.

Planet
Beneath
Conquest
Battle (Extended Cut)
Escape

The last 3 should've never happened as there's no conceivable way Zira, Cornelius, and Dr. Milo would've been able to salvage Taylors ship and get it in working order, let alone launch it before Taylor detonates the Alpha/Omega bomb at the end of Beneath.

I actually haven't seen Battle, nor the Tim Burton remake. I've enjoyed all the others though. I'd probably rank them like this:

1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
2. War for the Planet of the Apes
3. Rise of the Planet of the Apes
4. Escape from the Planet of the Apes
5. Planet of the Apes
6. Beneath the Planet of the Apes
7. Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (This is the only one I don't really like. It has some really good scenes though, and some bold storytelling, as they all do)

This franchise may be the only franchise I've seen where the newest entries consistently outdid the old ones. The fact that the Rise trilogy didn't have a single stinker is honestly astounding.

From my rankings it looks low, but that's only because of how good the rest of the series is. I saw Beneath years after seeing the original, having skipped it, and I was so surprised at how good it was.

Planet Of The Apes (1968)
Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes (1972)
Escape From The Planet Of The Apes (1971)
Beneath The Planet Of The Apes (1970)
Battle For The Planet Of The Apes (1973)

The Remake was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I've think I've watched 2 of the newer ones but I was unimpressed.

Didn't you read the Star Trek crossover? They were able to do it because
[Show spoiler]Dr. McCoy left his tricoder there
