Default Audio is hard to hear

I have a Sony Blu Ray S350. When I play a movie I have to crank the volume on TV to ridiculous levels. I just play the audio through my TV speakers. Even after I crank it- I have to strain to hear the dialogue.
Can anyone offer advice on settings or hookup so that I can actually hear the movie?

Save your money and buy a home theater system. Or adjust some settings on your tv or BD player.

+1 Most likely the setup you have now is as good as it is going to get. How do you have your audio hooked up? I'd recommend HDMI first or optical.

I had the same issue with my Sony S360. I exchanged it for the Panny BD60 which doesn have that issue but it had some freezing issues that Panasonic haven't been able to fix yet. So I went back to the Sony S360. Went to Best Buy and bought the Sony sound bar ( I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a sorround system) and problem solved! Now I'm very happy with both S360 and the Sony sound bar.
