Default LED or LCD

I am looking to get a new TV to upgrade the one I have had for a few years now. I currently have a Sony 50 LCD3 and have been happy with but it is starting to show its age. I have 1 pixel that has burnt out and it is bugging the crap outta me and I guess because it is 1080i you can actually see the bars from refresh running up and down the screen. Granted it is like alternating lines of a shade darker but it bugs me. So I really like the Sony SXRD's and have been looking at the Samsung LED. What are your opinions on both? Which is better for me? I watch a lot of movies ranging from Sci Fi and Horror to well just about anything. I also do a lot of gaming with a 360, PS3, PS2, Xbox, and a gamecube all hooked up and frequantly used. Which would be the better for me. I am extremely picky with my picture quality. I already am used to an SXRD cause my dad has the 60" a 360 looks great on it as well as movies off a BDP-S1.

Thanks
