So after some cleaning and tweaking today, I deceided to blast some afro-cuban jazz, and then mess with my receiver settings. Now, I don't why I never noticed this before, but when I turn down "BASS", the sub seems to still be outputing the same amount of thump, but my mains lose some of the bass. Am I stupid or is every receiver like that? I wonder how that affects my crossover then? I have that set at 100 hz because I think it sounds better, so I always thought very minimal bass would be coming from the mains in the first place? Input from anyone would be great, couldn't find a decent answer from google. Thanks.
