Default upgradeitis has comanded me to do so

To get a second Klipsch sub12, sounds like fun jes?

If u look in my gallery my computer is no longer where it was so i can fit another klipsch sub12 there so i figured why not

gonna pick one up soon hopefully. should even out the bass throughout the room as i still have some random dead spots

Is the sub12 discontinued yet or is it still active (trying to guage how hard it is gonna be to get this)

They still make the Sub 12, check ebay, if you're handy. I got a Sub10 for 15.00 with a bad amp, 3.00 worth of parts, 18.00 sub in great shape. I put it in my daughters room, she loves it.

There are several things that are important as far as multiple subs are concerned:
  1. An even number of subwoofers is the most effective.
  2. After extensive studies at the National Research Council of Canada and at Harmon International, they reached the conclusion that the optimum number of subwoofers in a small HT room is 4. More than 4 subwoofers will not give you any additional benefit.
  3. Studies have shown that the best option and the easiest to setup is 2 or 4 identical subwoofers. This does not mean that different subwoofers in the same room will not work, but their setup and calibration may require more time and patience.
  4. The effectiveness of multiple subwoofers depend very much on their placement in the room. Placement is sometimes more important than the driver, amplifier, or the enclosure.
I stole these pictures from Posts #1 & #2 of Big Daddy's A Guide to Subwoofers (Part II) thread.

It was missing 2 transistors, got them at work when we made a Mouser order, worth every penny.

The local bestbuy has a 7.1 setup with 2 sub-12's and it's got some impact for sure. I don't think I would pay retail for one though, scour the web for a deal.

Sweet bedroom setup.

Looking at your room you could put the subs on the side, like the pic that says 'Best'
