Default New custom lighting backgound pics

*sigh* Finally finished my new project after 2 weeks. I spent just about $80 for all the materials including the light. I couldve pick the LED lighting but I wanted something warm that adds that fine warm touch. I also took a few movie photo shots. TV was professionally calibrated with my SpyderTV kit. Great blacks Id say! Check out my gallery for more pics! BD collectiong has grown to nearly 300 titles since. Enjoy!!!!!

Default Nice!

Nice work man!

You are the only person I have come across that had the know how on how to remove glass from your stand and insert the perforated mesh/wire/metal material in your component stand.

I would like to do the same with my 2 door stand and wonderinf you could enlighten the rest of us

your two door cabinet has removable glass, correct? If so, you just measure the glass pieces and Ill direct you where and what to do next.

What did you do for lighting? You have pics of that? The backlighting of yours is more of my style than the multi color ones I've seen. I like the background art (you make that). PM if willing to share your lighting secrets. Looking good.

lol! theres no secret! just a regular home depot 18ft rope light. I first hung the background frame (1" gap from the wall) and the tv on top of that. Then I wrapped the rope of light around it 3 times. You cant see the light side ways because it is well hidden unless I put my face flat on the wall. This rope light cost me $15. Not those whooping $50+ ikea lights Ive seen. They aint bright enough for this project as well unless I buy 2 sets of them. yikes.

Really like the subtleness of the look. I also like the backdrop for your TV.

Your setup sort of has an asian feel to it. Very clean and beautiful.

Nice job!

I'm wanting to do this as well. Getting the mesh isn't the problem i'm trying to figure out how to break apart my doors to take the glass out without messing them up so bad that they don't look like crap and that I can get them back together.
