I am freakin' sick of A&E HD channel!!!

I'm all set to watch the first few minutes of "The Last Boyscout" and once again A&E HD channel is showing a 4:3 source stretched to 16:9

Now, most HDTV's have the option, sadly, that lets you stretch 4:3 sources to 16:9, skewing all picture content out of proportion.

What no HDTV has however is the option to UNSTRETCH to 4:3 any source that's being incorrectly broadcast as 16:9

I saw A&E HD showing The Godfather not too long ago like this, can Coppolla not sue their pants off for being so uneducated?

This drives me freakin' nuts and I just sent a scathing e-mail to them about it. I'm sick of it! What am I paying for HD for? Give me another channel instead of these idiots that knows what the heck they're doing.

A&E - if you're not showing an HD program, at least show a widescreen source in SD, that much I can handle. I cannot watch for more than 5 seconds any source like this that's stretched. I can't keep my mouth shut at friend's houses when I see them stretching something.

I'm sorry, I just can't do it. A&E really grind my gears.
