So i find myself torn, I have my nice computer and my home theater. Back when i had my Logitech Z-5500's i could fit the center channel in front of my Samsung TV. But my Polk CS2 is a tad bigger and i cant fit it in front of the display. The desk i have is 72" and made of mahogany so i hate to have it go to waste. But my 24" Displays seem so small compared to my 40" lol.
The other problem is i used to have carpul tunnel so i really need to be at a desk with proper form so i dont have it return. If you look at my current pictures i sit in my fuuton and have the keyboard and mouse at the coffee table which is horrible for my posture. So i was curious what some of you have done. I was thinking of getting an audio tower for my components. And then build a stand i can sit my tv on and slide my center channel under. That and i got some real cheapo speakers for my computer and id rather use my Polks + onkyo instead ![]() any thoughts ideas or suggestions would be appreciated |

That will be kind of tough for you with such a large tower, unless you start thinking about going with a larger entertainment center to house it. I've got small form factor computers in each room of mine with HDTVs, so for me it's not that hard to integrate the computer into the setup. You can see my entertainment center close-up pictures here and here or just check out my gallery to see how it all works together.
One thing you might consider, if possible, is some sort of recessed wall cubbyhole setup for the computer, and then running the cables through the wall and then out a nice wall plate like so. I'm not sure what kind of space you have in that wall behind your TV, though. Depending on the available depth, you could probably pull off something pretty sweet. |
