Default Control (Ian Curtis) blu ray question

I was checking out the dynamic hd website and it offered this movie as a blu ray title. I would like to know if anyone on the forum has the blu ray and could tell me the region code. I would like to import but I want to make sure it would play on my tv before I spend the money. Thanks

that makes 3 of us.... someone must know. There is also the same question in the Europe section of the Blu-Ray Movies and Releases section. We should there periodically as well to see if there is any update.

The German disc is region-locked.

Damn. I really want this bad boy on Blu-ray, I guess now I have to wait for a region A release. I hope the wait isn't too long.

Yea what a great movie. I'm a big Joy Division fan now. I never realized how groundbreaking their music was.

Default DOES WORK ON REGION 1 (some players)

I have a Panasonic DMP-BD80 and I just watched it after importing from Germany and the main film and menu (but NOT some previews, extras) works fine as well as the DTS-HD English track ...

There's a more complete and detailed forum here:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=78020

I found it by googling "Control 2007." The search on this forum is not nearly as good and for future searches I recommend using google as well (i.e. much better for finding support articles for apple, for example).

I was just recently in Germany, and picked up a copy of the movie on blu ray, and it works fine on my American 60GB PS3 as well as my dad's Samsung BD-P1400

What did you guys think of this movie? It's not normally my type of movie but for some reason it is intriguing to me. Someone needs to give it at least an in depth user review!

If you're a fan of biopics then I'm sure you'll like it. The director was a photographer and friend of the band back in their heyday, so he knows their story very well. Having said that, he tells the story like it is and really humanizes Curtis, showing that he was man of many problems who wasn't perfect and made some mistakes along the way.

I was absolutely enthralled with the story and it made me understand and appreciate the music much more. Joy Division is one of the most unique bands ever and their is truly entertaining. Since the movie mostly focuses on Curtis' life, I would also recommend checking the documentary simply entitled "Joy Division" as a companion piece.

I'm not too sure what a biopic is so I don't really know if I am a fan haha. Give me some examples and maybe I will know.

I am thinking of adding this to my Amazon.de order for Saving Private Ryan steelbook shipping on the 14th. Gotta load up on an Amazon.de order with that flat 14 EUR shipping.
