Default What do you listen to on the drive home?

You're driving home after a hard days work with barely enough energy to turn on that dial. Or maybe you do, but what do you listen to anyways? During the football and basketball seasons, I like to listen to our local sports radio talkshow STSA with Mike Taylor. But other times, I'll plug my iPhone in and listen to my own jams. What about you all?

A rock station exclusive to the South Wales region called Nation. They play some awesome tunes, with classic rock tracks between 9pm - 1am!

If there is football on I will also listen to that.

However, the Metallica 'Black Album' has made its way into my CD player

For me, it's classic rock Q107, which is the only tolerable station on the radio, even though its format and playlist is just as limited as any other radio station's.

There was one station, however, Jack 92.5 FM, which up until recently played a solid mix of old and new songs, but it changed formats for the worse a few months ago - its tripe now, really.

To tell you the truth, it's pretty hard to find six stations to fill up the preset buttons on the stereo. I don't listen to sports, I don't care for talk radio, and the CD player in my car is mucked up to the point that I'm lucky if it plays a disc without hassle. If I could, I'd buy an ipod and carry my collection with me. I'm tired of flicking through the stations and not finding anything I like.

Sirius looks good, but the cost is prohibitive. So, while waiting for a song that I can crank up, I'm stuck with what's playing on the radio.

If, God forbid, I'm driving my wife's non-SIRIUS equipped car home, I'll search for a CD or listen to nothing at all.

depends on if i opened or closed.

if I closed and it is close to 11pm ... I go with something like Dredg. Something not really heavy, but not going to put me to sleep either.

If I opened and want to get pumped back up to go out ... I go with something like Reign Supreme, Terror, AFI, Cobra Starship, New Found Glory, ect. Just something upbeat.

I usually listen to my Ipod on my drive home. I listen to sports talk radio all day so I prefer listening to music at night. No good sports talk show anyway on my ride home, can't stand Chris Myers.

I listen to two different local stations. Not necessarily the ones with my favorite formats.... but the ones with the best traffic updates. I have to cross a bay to get home and there are only two ways to cross it... each with a tunnel at the end. If there is a snarl on one route; I like to find out in time to avoid it. One time there was a wreck in BOTH tunnels, and my 36 minute drive took well over three hours.
