Default "Most Dangerous" Celebrities to Search Online

Quote:
Be cautious if you plan to Bing Jessica Biel or Google Brad Pitt. A new report says you might get a virus.

The Hollywood actors are among the top 10 celebrity searches online that can lead to computer problems, according to a report released Tuesday by the computer security company McAfee. The company named Biel the "most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace." One in five Internet searches for terms related to "Jessica Biel" leads to a Web page, photo, video or piece of spam that contains a cyber-security threat, the report said.

The former "7th Heaven" star and girlfriend of singer Justin Timberlake is followed on the "most dangerous" list by singer Beyonce, actress Jennifer Aniston and football hunk Tom Brady. Singer and reality TV star Jessica Simpson rounds out the top five. Pitt, who topped last year's list, moved down to 10th.

Good thing I don't search for celebrities online. You hear stuff about them on tv all the time. That's enough info for me.

Football hunk Tom Brady? Hilarious. Sorry to divert, Sussudio, but that was too just funny.

I picked up a nasty virus from a website having something to do with concert torrants (whatever those are). The site showed up in a search for some old concert information I was looking for. When I got to the site, my HD immediately started spinning and I couldn't back out.

The virus kept giving me false virus warnings that would then make you go to a website to download (purchase) a fix. I did everything I could think of to get rid of it (as did our IT folks), but nothing worked. Luckily we use Bounce-Back, so I ended up having to restore my computer from my last backup. What a pain!

My boss had the same one. IT had to wipe his drive to get rid of it.
