Default SIXAXIS Rumble by Christmas?

Here's the latest info:

http://kotaku.com/gaming/rumble-in-m...ens-275053.php

I fully expect the SIXAXIS Rumble controller to be available before MGS4 hits the shelves, just because Kojima has always been so adamant that he wants rumble. Sony knows how important it is to keep him happy.

I just hope they make it the default controller, and halt production of the non-rumble controller. Otherwise game developers might shy away from supporting it.

I hope it doesnt kill the battery. I like how long it last compared to my 360.

I think there is room for both controllers to live together peacefully.

I like the current controller. its lightweight, battery life is good, and did I mention its lightweight. I played my friends xbox and that controller is an ergonomic disaster. so were the old controllers with rumble. a generation of gamers will develop a condition called rumble wrist where the added weight and vibration wear down the cartilage in their wrist and hand.

but it would still be a cool option and I may get 1 for occasional use.

Rumble plus the gyro sensor can make for a good flight sim game I imagine.

That said, most of the games I play, don't make good use of rumble, now I prolly will buy Rumble Sixaxis anyway, but not sure how much use they'll get over my current non-rumblers.

Two things.

1. Old rumble had two motors. New one has one
2. Xbox/360 controllers either used AA (up to 4 at one point) batteries or a heavier charge pack. Sixaxis uses light lithium battery.
