That thing is huge! Took me a while to find it surprisingly. I guess it's just one of those mornings at work...

Check out the Danley Sound Labs Matterhorn:

Danley Sound Labs has unleashed the Matterhorn Subwoofer to the US military, which they claim is the world’s biggest to date. It repurposes a 20 x 8 x 8 foot shipping container as its enclosure and requires 40,000 watts of power. The military uses these types of speakers to simulate battlefield action, but with the Matterhorn’s specs, they appear to be training for Thermonuclear War.

EDIT:

That first picture... is there even a center channel? I just think the soundstage is too cramped, and the sub was built "Just for the heck of it" not as if the owner was chasing "Better" sound....

I think that is just a clever way of hiding our US military's missle program....apparently it is still in production......

EDIT: I also agree with Beta Man....anyone seriously into their gear and the best audio they can get would never put a plant on top of a speaker!

jajaja I know, trying to compensate something maybe? I can't believe anyone can have those two speakers and that monster he calls a sub for a computer room....I'm still jealous though....I don't see how you wouldn't get a heart attack in there

As for Danley's Soundlab Maybe you become Dr. Manhattan if you stand in the middle of that thing

Looks like he has a 2.1 set-up for music only Beta Man.....I see no center channel, and it almost looks like he is possibly viewing a list of downloaded songs on the computer screen.....

Yeah... I see that now...... I guess I've always been a fan of 2.0 over 2.1 anyways....... "Old-School" perhaps

That's why I'm a fan of Thiels..... good low range for music, no sub needed.

I agree, I don't use my SVS sub right now when I play music.....I just like the way the 2 fronts work together.
