Just... no. Getting access to only the David Lee Roth years of Van Halen is incredible amounts of fail.

Not to mention I already own 6 of the other tracks in Rock Band 2 (White Wedding, Space Truckin', Painkiller, Sick, Sick, Sick, Master Exploder, Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)), and a 7th is strongly rumored to be on the way (Semi-Charmed Life).

That's why I said only having the David Lee Roth era songs is just... unacceptable. Dreams was released in 1986, during the Sammy Hagar period of VH.

For what it's worth, my favorite Van Halen song is "Right Now", which is also from the Sammy Hagar era...

Activision has raped the franchise enough; they brought Guitar Hero into the Band era, and they capitalized it with ridiculous ideas I couldn't possibly imagine. Their increasing popularity and infamy, and their pathetic attempt to capitalize the music genre with 'Hero' at the end of everything makes it to show I won't buy any Guitar Hero products from them anymore.

Alter Bridge! But I don't really in the least bit like Van Halen.
Aerosmith
Metallica
The Beatles
Van Halen.
Somebody needs to get the rights to Led Zeppelin and whoever does will have my undying allegiance. I'm on the fence right now.

I have no interest in buying this one. They suckered me into getting Aerosmith and Metallica. Wish they would at least put out some dlc for those 2. And I'm sure they'll treat this one just the same way. I'm sure after this one, there will be another one that contains the Sammy Hagar VH, and charge another 60 dollars for that one too. Meaning you would need to pay 120 dollars just for the full VH experience. Neversoft should quit before they ruin the franchise even more.

For those that don't know, the reason the Hagar tracks aren't included is because of Eddie Van Halen's neverending feud with him. Also, the original bassist Michael Anthony has been replaced by Eddie's teenage son (both in the game and the actual band). I agree that it is a huge mistake not to include all of their hits, regardless of the singer.

I'm already putting my money that Harmonix will get Page, Plant and Jones to get involved in a Led Zeppelin: Rock Band for sure.

There was an article awhile back about how Page refused to license any Zeppelin songs for either franchise. The quote was "You think of the drum part that John Bonham did on Led Zeppelin's first track on the first album, 'Good Times Bad Times'," he said. "How many drummers in the world can play that part, let alone on Christmas morning?"

I think he is missing the point... what's next, he'll decide their music is too good for the public in general and pull all Zeppelin albums from the shelves?

His attitude sure is strange for a man who let P Diddy soil the Zeppelin classic "Kashmir" in that god-awful "Come with Me" song on the "Godzilla" soundtrack. He lost a lot of credibility with me when I saw him playing alongside that talentless idiot on SNL.

I agree. Don't want a game that doesn't include all members and songs. They shouldn'r aven call it Van halen since it includes Wolfgang Van Halen, No Michael Anthony, No Sammy Hagar, No Gary Cherone. I won't be getting this one.

Make it stop already with the Guitar Hero games. All of these "Band Editions" could just be DLC (sorry PS2 people). They could charge less money and probably sell more copies. Plus, they could come out with "Special Insturments", you want Eddie Van Halen's guitar, fine $39.95 please. See where I'm going.

I shouldn't even complain seeing as how I don't own nor play and of the -Hero games, but it just seems like they are over milking the cow.
