Default Sony Promotional Disc?

For those that choose to read this, it will be an unusual request... I was in Circuit City a couple days ago and was drawn to the Sony XBR2 they had on display because of their promotional disc. It was not a Hollywood title and didn't show many previews or trailers. Rather, the disc contained many different images -- some of the Italian coastline, some of different colorful toys and trinkets, etc. The images were mostly slow moving, but the color was incredible. I was really hoping to order a copy of this Sony promotional Blu Ray disc because I'd like to play it for friends when they give me the line, "I can't tell the difference between Blu Ray and DVD." So, does anybody know if it is capable of being ordered anywhere, or where I may search for a copy? I'd really appreciate any help that anyone may be able to give me. Thank you in advance...

The store manager said they, and other stores, are given one for display purposes and that it wasn't for sale. I believe that is an order from Sony so that they don't get in trouble for distributing a disc that is not officially for sale.

Anyone on here work for a CC or BB and able to get a hold of an extra copy?

Unfortunately I don't believe so. The disc clearly read "Sony" in the upper right hand corner and panned across the screen comparing high def vs. standard def.

Not quite... While I really appreciate the interest and help, I don't believe that is the correct disc.

It had like a Italian Blue Water White Sand and some bikini babe swimming.

It was very crispy! Good Luck drwatson.

People who can't see the diff are dimwits or they're trying not to see a difference to justify not making the purchase. My wife used to NOT be able to see the difference... now she hates anything on SD. Keeps bugging me about when "House" is coming to BD.

I agree. However, I'd still like to find a copy of this disc. Anybody have any ideas?

This is not anything you will be able to buy or get a hold of. This is a disc sent to stores carrying Sony Blu-Ray Players i.e. Circuit City, Best Buy, Sony Style Stores. The dvd consists of scenes from several blu-ray and dvd movies where it scans across the image-the 1st half in dvd the 2nd half of the picture in blu-ray to show the vast difference between the two. Sorry but you won't be able to get this anywhere.

House is a Universal property, so my doubts are strong for that on on BD in the near future.

Tell the wifey to get a HD-DVD player. It would probably look just as good as BD.

TV on DVD is generally flawless to begin with, even on SD.

Yeah it shouldn't be so hard to get a hold of it, by what hs's told me they have plenty of disc in a drawer and they give those away all the time. As it is I always end up getting free stuff when I go so it shouldnt be too difficult to get this tonight or tomorrow.

Haha, I shouldn't admit to already having that thought. But, I'd rather leave that for later if nothing works out...

My friend said that he couldn't tell the difference between HD and SD. I told him that he's blind and need eye transplant. The truth is he never even seen an HD movie/broadcast when he said that.
So I showed him the boxing scene in Rocky Balboa blu-ray and he said "Hmm, it's somewhat better than DVD. But not much better. HD is just a hype." I told him that he need to find new eyeball and slapped him quite...

Lol. There is a big difference. Not sure how someone can't see it
