What I mean is at my walmart, they sell new blurays for 35 bucks and their .com has them listed for 27 bucks. I wanted to know if I can pricematch a bluray like 300 the complete experience from 35 to 27

Not in my store they just price match with the printed page of the walmart.com, and Walmart is right next door, no phone call nothing they just did it. I think is a policy that varies by store.

I ran across Walmarts price matching issues back in May when I tried to pick up the 6 film Star Trek collection. There was a $25 differance between the walmart.com and the b&m price and they told me that they don't compete against themselves. They also told me that their stores stock more dvds and blurays than the website when I asked why I should ever shop in their store again.

Yes, I learned about Walmart's non-pricing matching ways the hard way.
I ordered Fast and Furious 1 & 4 via walmart.com. This was the first purchase I had actually made on the website. I thought the service was like Best Buy, where they just set it aside for you. Well, I went to Walmart, picked out the blu rays, showed them my order slip, and they informed me that it didn't work like that. Blu rays were actually being shipped for my ordered even though they were sold right in that very store (IN STOCK). The lady said, "you're order isn't in yet". Surprised, I responded, "well, I see the items right on the shelves right now. Can I simply take those as my order, and when this shipment comes in, you simply put those on the shelf instead." "sorry, it doesn't work like that". well, will you price match walmart.com and I can just cancel my online order? "no, we don't compete against .com". Bad business if you ask me. |

That's why I don't really buy BD's from Wal-mart anymore. I would check their online store and it would be cheaper than their local store. I stopped asking if they price match their site and I keep getting the same response.
![]() Site to Store is a great alternative, but I find myself using Best Buy, and Amazon now. |
