Yes, I know we've had whiners about the included 3-D version in other threads. I liked it.
![]() Okay, so it's not that Coca-Cola Duoptix<tm> system from that old '89 Super Bowl (which still works, btw, for those who kept their glasses*)-- But I've seen quite a few bad red/blue TV-3D videos in my time (ahempolarexpress), and the purple/green TruScopic<tm> system seemed to actually do the job it was paid to do. ![]() Yes, still strips the color out of the picture like any color-filter, but wouldn't hurt Dreamworks to get that "Monsters vs. Aliens" out now, unless they're expecting something better to be greenlit over the next six months... So, not that I'm expecting "Delgo" or "Battle for Terra" to be great leaps of rental, but have any other 3-D titles marketed themselves, or been announced, with purple/green additions to their Blu-rays? Just want to see what other uses I can keep the glasses for. ![]() --- (* - And looking at the old glasses, the Coca-Cola system also seemed to use a fainter purple/green filter, so gather that's the general theory, but as you can seen from the old Super Bowl halftime, it wasn't a color-separation system...No, I'm not that much of a geek about it, I've just been wondering why nobody's used it since. ![]() |
