Default Freddy vs Jason vs Michael Myers?????

I was online lastnight and came across this, but I wasnt buying it and I searched a few more areas and I did see rumblings of a sequel including Michael Myers. What do yall think about this? Its very exciting news to me, but how can they do this?? I just hope they dont mess it up.

Ok, but I'm not going to comment until you give your spoiler free review.

wasn't a big fan of the 1st one to begin with......i'm of the mindset that pretty much every single horror sequel is made solely for profit and will never come close to touching the original...which may or may not have been good to begin with (and also varies depending on your definition of a horror movie ).

Kind of cool, but definitely fake. There wasn't ever really rumors of Michael Myers being in the sequel, and that would have been difficult to produce since Michael Myers character was owned by Dimension. I remember there were rumors that Ash from Evil Dead would be in the sequel. At this point I can't imagine a second Freddy vs. Jason since both franchises have been restarted.

Yea that trailer may be fake or whatever, but I read that new Line Cinema was talking to John Carpenter about using Michael for the sequel. I did read that but like I said well see as more stuff surfaces.

I doubt this is even kind of a good idea. The first Freddy versus Jason movie was way too campy and came off rather funny instead of scary. I don't think a sequel would be received too well, even amongst horror fans.

Alot of this was covered years ago after the first one came out and rumors of the 2nd started.

For the longest time it was gonna be Ash in the mix. But as time passed, the idea faded and then Bruce Campbell was quoted as saying the idea was dead, and he really had no interest has his character would have to be forced into the scenario. And of course studio rights, etc.

So of course the other wetdream was to put michael myers in the mix, but like someone said earlier, the studios would have to agree to share characters and that was a whole big mess waiting to happen, so that went no where. The John carpenter thing was more would he give his blessing to that sort of thing and never any real involvement on his part.

Yes that is definitely fan-made and wishful thinking. In fact, in the past few years there has been almost no news about just a sequel being made with the 2 original guys in it.

Oh well- I really liked the first one and was pleasantly surprised at how they fit the 2 storylines together and made a better script then i expected.

It's official: Hollywood horror writers have finally run out of even half-way decent ideas. If this is true (and it looks bogus to me), then it will tank far worse then the first attempt.

I'm assuming you don't mean "tank" financially. The first film made $82 million in the US & Canada, and $114 million worldwide, on a budget of, I believe $25-30 million. I'd hardly call that tanking.

If you are referring to the quality of the picture, I'd have to disagree. As soon as Freddy's glove grabbed Jason's mask at the end of Jason Goes to Hell I've wanted to see this movie. I waited over 10 years and I was happy with what I saw.

On the thread topic, this is definitely a bogus rumour. Too many mouths to feed to get this one done.

Perhaps it would be interesting to see Rob Zombie's Myers vs. the platinum dunes Freddy and Jason. I'd go see it, just for fun.

I like the idea of the Zombie's Myers vs. the PD's Jason with Freddy pulling the strings. I think that would a very good film. Maybe have Freddy go to Haddonfield and get Myers to stop Jason. The only problem is that it's the same plot that the first one had.

Off topic a bit, but is anyone else stoked to see Jackie Earle Haley's portrayal of Freddy?

That could work as far as your plot idea and they could tighten it up a bit and then somehow someway they both go after freddy that would be crazy. More we talk about it the more i wanna see it.

yea man that sounds good if they execute it right. i mean no tag teaming or anything cheesy, but like u said Freddy kaniving the 2 to fight while staying in the back ground and then they discover him and they go after him but while still fighting each other as they get in each others way or sumthin. It can be done but the right script and execution is needed. lets go yall.

+1 When I heard of Freddy vs. Jason, my pick was Jason all the way.....

I think MTV also did a Horror character Battle Royale a few years back...... I had Jason and Michael in the final battle, with Jason victorious..... I didn't see the outcome, does anyone know what i'm talking about?
