Default The Dance Related Film Thread!

I know this is either a hate it or love it genre. I am a fan of dance films and enjoy a lot of them quite a bit. Discuss some of your favorite dance films and why u like them. This goes from ballet, ballroom, breakdance etc....Please if u arent a fan of the genre dont come in and thread crap. I dont mind no one giving and opinion as to why they dont like dance films but keep it respectful. I use to dance back when I was young so I can relate to it. Some of the films I have enjoyed over the year are:

Saturday Night Fever
Breakin 1 & 2
Beat Street
Stomp the Yard
Step Up 1 & 2
The Forbidden Dance
Dirty Dancing

There may be a few more but those are off the top of the dome. What are some films that u guys like and do any of yall have a background in dancing? Got Em!!

Saturday Night Fever might be my favorite, but I also like Strictly Ballroom and Dirty Dancing. Been a while since I saw Footloose, in fact I can't really remember much of it. I haven't seen Stayin' Alive in a while either, might have to revisit that.

I am a fan of the old musicals which featured quite a bit of dancing, like Singin' in the Rain and Yankee Doodle Dandy. A couple of others would be Guys and Dolls and West Side Story.

I'm a fan of Footloose and Dirty Dancing.

I don't dance much myself, nor do I even like it... but I enjoy those two movies.

P.S. it's Ballet, ballot.
Yea I believe Saturday Night Fever is my favorite one also. Thats just a great movie all together. I cant remember much of Footloose either but I think I liked it as a kid but would have to see it again. I never saw Staying Alive but I know it is supposedly the sequel to SNF and I heard it sucked big time so I never watched it. Got Em!!
