Default Do trailers generally show too much?

http://www.cracked.com/article_17585...top-doing.html
Here's a funny list, and they're all true.
But the one thing that annoys me most is no. 3, trailers that show too damn much.
do you agree that trailers generally show too much?
Sometimes they do, like Sunshine Cleaning, I saw this movie in July and I recently got to see the trailer for it on my Che Bd and I practically saw it again.
Almost all of the important parts of the movie was shown, almost all the conflicts and such, wth is the point of seeing a movie if you already have been served the whole movie during 2 min?
And feel free to discuss anything that annoys you from trailers.

I don't think they show much more then they did in the past but they destroy movies for many.

Once upon a time, the only way to see a trailer was in the theater, you've would see it what, once maybe twice? Enough to built the interest in the movie and that was it. Now trailers are all over the place, they can be watched and over analyze over and over and over again.

Over exposure on TV spots as also become too much. Last night I had DVR a 1 hour show (which last 42 minutes now a days with commercials) In that one hour, as I skip the commercials I saw and I am not kidding, the TV commercial for Inglorious Bastards 8 times. Ok I get it the movie is coming out, I got it! All of this over exposure I find's after a while, instead of building interest in the movie, just kill's it.

Id say they are more misleading than showing too much....

Bad movies show too much and great movies show little or nothing at first.

Good movies rely on reputation of cast/director/screenplay, buzz and reviews

Bad movies rely on showing all of the plot points/funny scenes and the reputation of the producer..."From the people who brought you blah blah blah..."
