So this post is pretty outdated. I bought a new house and I have a dedicated HT area that I am working on. Eventually I'll end up painting, but that would take away from movie time so it could be a while.

Current Equipment:

BenQ HT2050
Silverticket 100" White screen
Denon X4300H
SVS Prime Center
SVS Prime Bookshelves
SVS Prime Satellite
SVS PB-2000
Pioneer BDP-150 Blu-Ray
HTPC - Blu-Ray / Movies / Gaming - I3-3220 - 8 GB RAM - 750ti 2GB - 7TB Storage - Dual 360 Controllers
Roku 3
APC C25B Power Filter

I've made a few more updates. Added some black curtains to cut down on glare, added bass shakers to the couch, added four atmos speakers using some satellites I had laying around. Added a second sub and moved my gear into the laundry room, controlling everything with a Harmony Elite.

I also tried my hand at DIY speakers for the 2.1 system in the living room.

I know, I need to dust

Luckily we aren't right on top of each other, we have enough space between us. Adding the bass shakers helped tremendously though, I don't feel like I have to run the subs quite as hot.

They are pretty good, I have since replaced them though, they will end up in my garage. I decided since it was mainly for tv I needed a center channel. Thus my new upgrade below.

So I changed from the DIY speakers to a LCR SVS Prime setup, the DIY's were good, but this is just so much more clear, probably due to the center. I keep forgetting to paint the stands..

I also spent the past weekend painting the theater. It looks and feels so much better. I also changed to a Silver Ticket Grey screen and added LED back lighting. I prefer white lighting (which is what I run on my TV and PC monitor), the blue is supposed to be white... I'll probably change it to a pure white at some point.

Replaced the Klipsch satellites with some in ceiling speakers. Much much better now. These guys sound great for the money. Micca Reference R-8C.

I moved the C-Notes out to the garage. I managed to pick up a Yamaha RX-V1065 receiver for $50 and a Polk PSW108 for $50. Not a bad little garage setup for $200. I also purchased a Umik-1 mic, I've been having a lot of fun with it. The C-Notes legitimately play down into the 30/40's (usable), but I crossed them at 60hz. Using REW I determined that they are best at 80hz. This is a horrible picture, but the bottom line is the C-Notes alone, the middle is crossed at 60hz running 2.1 and the top line is crossed at 80hz running 2.1. Obviously not the flattest response, but it's a garage and I'm happy with it

Any ideas on what is causing the massive dips above 250hz? I'm guessing it's related to the garage?
