Returning Blu-ray movie without receipt - Blu-ray Forum

does anyone know if i can return a blu-ray movie to Bestbuy without a receipt? i bought it there a week ago and i couldn't find the receipt.

I think it depends on the bestbuy one time they gave me a hard time and saidno.One time my sister did it and they gave her store credit.She says she had to show some skin.I could be wrong but cant they track it if you used a atm or credit card?

Credit card yes, I tried with ATM but they said they cant look it up. As for returning it if you dont have a receipt and its unopened they will give you credit,,, I no this cause I was buy blu's from a pawn shop for 10 bucks sealed and bringing them back for credit like 25-33 each 1 :P god i was bad hehe

If you paid cash, I would seriously doubt a return. Most places won't accept something without a receipt. Thieves would make a lot of money doing that.

I've done it a number of times... its really hit or miss. Depends what store location as well as who you deal with.
Your best chance would be to exchange it for something or get store credit
