Harmony One with PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

Okay heres my thing I just thought is the ps3 goinging to work with the Harmony one remote?I found that there is a adaptor to buy.How good is this adaptor?will it work just as it would with a stand alone player were I just hit off and it turns everything off?Or vis versa I hit watch dvd and everything thats supposed to turn on turn on?Im reading reviews that it cant turn on or off the ps3 WTF it had to be something I guess.

The Logitech PS3 adapter is supposed to give you seamless control over the PS3 with any Harmony remote, including turning it on and off, and working with the Harmony's macro commands. I've read of a few glitches people are having here and there, but nothing widespread across the board. The vast majority of reviews I've read about it say it works perfectly. I haven't bought one yet myself, but was planning to pick one up next weekend.

I think the Harmony One remote is, to put it simply, fantastic. It controls all of my equipment seamless (including a Sony DAT recorder) and YES, it does turn the PS3 on and off with the remote adapter for the PS3 And customer support is fantastic!

If you pick it up from Best Buy or a place like that then they should have a pretty flexible return policy. Get it and if you dont like it take it back and tell them why. I have never had any trouble that way. Let us know how it works since I have the 670 and I was interested as well.

When I got my Harmony One I bought the Nyko Blue Wave. It worked very well, but it didn't turn the PS3 on and off. I then bought the PS3 adapter from Harmony. It works fine. I've had to re-pair it with the PS3 a few times since I bought it about 5 months ago, but I think this is the PS3's fault, not the adapter's. I am happy with the performance overall and would recommend it to anyone that can afford the $60 price tag. But the Nyko is a less expensive and perfectly satisfactory solution for those who can't afford it or are unable to justify the expense.
