Default Bioshock 2 Thread

I played for about 3 hours last night. At first I didn't like playing as a big daddy. It's not all that different; it just didn't feel right. I got used to it soon enough though.

I like the game a lot so far. The feel and play style is similar enough to the first one that it quickly became familiar and comfortable. The underwater scenes are beautiful. Adopting little sisters and having them collect Adam for you is a lot of fun. The hacking system is MUCH easier, which for me is a plus, as I found it to be a big pain in the first game. There are a few more moral choices other than to just harvest or rescue the little sisters (spoiler below.)

[Show spoiler] There's a lady you have to hunt down to get a key from. When you find her she is unarmed and you have the choice to kill her or not. I chose not to, and she does provide help to you later in the game as she starts to realize her previous opinions about you may have been wrong.

Haven't played much yet, but the opening cut scene is wicked!

Yeah I didn't feel it right off the bat with the game...Especially with the intro because it was pretty blocky and seemed like standard resolution...Once the game started though it was very nice to see Rapture again from a new character...I played Bioshock 1 at least 9-10 times thru and it does take a little time to get to use to dual wield, but other then that this is another GOTY... Hacking is pretty easy just like the first Bio 1, but in bio 1 sometimes you had no choice you were going set the alarm off...The lady in question was Grace...Game is addicting and I haven't even started the multi yet...I kept telling myself last night/morning just another hour, which turned into another then another...LoL...

I'm super excited to get this one, I loved the first Bioshock. I HAVE to wrap up Borderlands before I get into anything else though.

Agree on all fronts.

I've played this for about 2 + hrs so far and am enjoying it , it almost seems too easy playing as the Big Daddy but I'm not too far into it and am only playing on normal. Would rather they just kept the hacking system the same as in Bioshock 1 but can see why others would prefer the new one (easier). Does anyone know if they dealt away with the U-invent system , I sure hope not as I enjoyed that aspect from the 1st. Overall I like this game and cannot wait to do multiple playthroughs .

P.s. awesome to see the new changes at this forum , about time they sectioned it off like this
